Hi guys... I've got an NA fairlane and just wondering what my options are in different model steering wheels? I'd really like to keep the cruise control working. Would you be able to use an EF one and just leave out the airbag?

your best bet would be the EBGT / Sprint momo steering wheel with the cruise control buttons, these are rather expensive though

Wouldn't I lose my cruise control if I get a boss kit and steering wheel? I've never seen a boss kit which is made for a car with steering mounted cruise control.

All the wheel mounted buttons do is provide different resistances down the same wire, and there are boss kits for wheel mounted horns. So it might not be plug and play, but it will be possible to mount the cruise switches on any wheel. Would need a basic understanding of electronics to do it though.

Mate,
The Momo wheel came with cruise control and uses the std boss kit (3 wires) So no issues connecting it. All you need to do now is find one that has CC in it already. The alternative is to get one that does not have cc, go o a motor trimer and get him to cut the holes for you and use the buttons out of your current wheel Or go to Ford and buy new ones if they are all chalky. (You cant get the oringinal ones as the writing was on an angle.. Then all the wires are the same.. Simple.

you can't bolt any EF/EL/AU wheels onto the EA-ED range - need to change the steering column!

only option is the EB GT/ED Sprint momo wheel.... EF-AU wheels wont fit as they're splined differently
andee: the stock steering wheel has the cruise buttons like -- on the wheel, but the momo wheel has them on an angle like / \, and because of that, theres 2 different types of cruise buttons, one set to suit the standard cruise wheel, and the other set to suit the momo wheel so the writing on the buttons is horizontal

You can still use the normal cruise buttons on the momo wheel, it just means that the writing will be on an angle

And Momo wheels with cruise pad are uber-uber- expensive.
Because they are rare as f**k. People who have them, generally don't sell them. The only way I could be persuaded to part with mine in the Sprint, is if you gave me a 6 Speed Auto BF F6 Typhoon... and $100 cash... The offer's on the table...

i dont know what the rules are over there in WA, but i know in some states..you cannot remove stock standard safety equipment, unless making it better, so if your car came with an airbag, and you take it off... some a***hole cop can defect you for it, they dont usually give a s**t, but if one is having a bad day or is not meeting his weekly quota of earning revenue, say hello to mr yellow sticker
