personally i wouldn't do it unless they suit your interior..obviously red racing seats wont suit any stock falcon..but if u find a nice set of black maybe leather racing seats then it could look good..

I've had a set of Cobra Torphie fixed back race seats in my Falcon when my original GLi seat back broke and I was waiting on my EL XR interior to arrive.
I've also recently been playing with another set of Cobra sports seats. The major issue I've found is that when using the factory railings (as the Cobras bolt onto them perfectly with a bit of angle grinding to remove some excess metal that pokes into the seats), is that the seats bases are too high. You get the feeling that you are now driving a 4WD and it's bloody annoying having your head pushed into the roof lining. Basically you either need custom rails that are lower, or you need to redo the bass of the seats with less padding, or in the alternative look at seats with lower profile basis - Autotecnica have recently released the A2008 which are ADR etc., I'm looking at getting a set when I sell off the Cobras and giving them a go. BTW - why do people call reclining sports seats race seats - do you ever see a race car driver not using a fixed back seat? |

Yeh I had heard somewhere before that some times they can feel a bit high. I think i know the autotecnica ones you are talking about tho, i was looking at them on the net yesterday they looked pritty good.
The ricer factor is also something i'm trying to avoid lol

Judging by the dash it's E-series. From the steering wheel I'd say early E-series that's had the EF/L dash fitted, as if it was EF/L probably wouldn't have removed the airbag as the genuine Momo steering wheel and black AU airbag would have matched in nicely with that set up. |

I wouldn't do it personally - if you're after something a bit sportier...the EF and EL XR seats are good...if you want something more, you can rebolster them (or have them rebolstered) to hold you a little better...depends how far you want to go in the handling department I guess (if that's what you're goal is?) or is it jsut for looks ?
Also agree with others - they are damn uncomfortable after a while. If you're real fussy...look at some of the HSV interiors - I know I'd nearly convert to a Holden after sitting in some of the 'lounge' like seats |

how much do you think it would cost to get it rebolstered?
the reason for looking at different seats is that in my car the drivers seat has a small path wear its starting to wear out, it happened to dads car as well and the hole in his slowly got alot bigger. so im either lookin at getting new seats (the race seats because i think they dont look to bad) or yeh get a retrim, either way i wont be doing anything to it for a while just looking at options.

i hate that photo. i dont even know why i put it im my gallery.
so i deleted it ..... sorry. dj-matto..... after putting these seats in my i car i would not do it again. Installation was a pain in the a***, and so was making it safe. Took me 2 days to make up my own brackets and fit the seats correctly. Yeah there nice to sit in, but now that i look at it i reckon it would of being easier to just get them retrimed, and it probley would of looked better! but hey, each to there own! make your own choices
