I mean the instrument cluster, the climate control, and the trip computer.
8 x T10 multi led globes. (one behind speedo, one behind door indicator and 4 backlights, one in the climate control and one behind trip computer) 2 x T5 LED's for backlight of climate control. 10 times 3mm LED's to solder in replacement of yellow button selection indicators. (These are the only bits that require soldering.) 2 x 5mm LED's to replace tube light in top of climate control. I'll go into more detail later and post some photos.. it's taken ages to get it all sorted. Those kits sold to do your dash blue only do the cluster.. you need a lot more to do the rest. |

8 x T10 multi led globes.
(one behind speedo, one behind door indicator and 4 backlights, one in the climate control and one behind trip computer) i think that refers to the cluster!

I'm talking about everything.. the only light I've not changed, is the back light to the window demister switch. (and I have been looking at that one too)
It looks brilliant.. the only problem I've had is the park light backlight of the climate control, it is not even because the leds are longer than the old globes.. I am experimenting with LED stips.. but it looks a million years better than the old orange look. |

I am assuming you removed the orange filter when you changed the globes over on the LCD panels? If so, what did you put in there in it's place?

I changed no orange filters.. .it is not necessary.
I did unsolder 10 yellow 3mm leds and solder in blue ones instead.. but other than that and replacing the tube globe at the top of the climate control, it was just a case of swapping out the T10's and T5's. |

So the blue LED's you soldered in were the button selectors for the climate control and trip computer, right?
Sorry about the questions but I am about to attempt this myself.....wanna make sure I have all the facts

blue leds were just the button selectors for the climate control.. the trip computer doesn't need them as it has only backlighting which is handled by a single T10 globe.

Well I went ahead and did the conversion with the same globes from the link in this post...... turned out good, but has a couple of issues I have found out in the week since I did it.
During the day it is great.... until you put your sunglasses on, then all the digital diplays go black and you cant see any of them During the night they look awesome, but I need to ty a couple of different globes for the backlighting because I have found it difficult to read the fuel and temp gauges and the tacho. Might try putting indigo glass T10's in and see how they look. Oh and for some reason now my dimmer doesnt work on the clock, everything else dims but the clock stays really bright Worth it though for all the looks I am getting driving home at night

your sunnies must be darker than mine because I can still see it ok.. but its definitely little harder to see than the orange.. pretty sure the clock dims in mine.. I'll have to check now.. the only issues I've had is the back lighting on the climate control, and when I get around to it, I'm gonna try a strip LED to back light that.

Oooh it is a bit late for that for me, I have already done it LOL
It was simple, for the instrument panel it was 6 green globe holders on the back, the clock was just as easy, but the climate control was a biatch, I had to pull it apart, and I forgot to change the t5 ones so I have to do it again too.... will put some pics of that if you like.
