Can anyone tell me what exactly this is and where it is supposed to go?
I found it underneath the window switch assembly when I was installing the fairmont lighting to my EL Futura... it wasn't hooked up to anything it was just loosly sitting there... Thanks for you help in advance.... and sorry if it's a dummy question but if you don't ask you don't know... |

wou dont need that. it is only a wire tap. its used to 'tap' into anouther wire so you dont have to cut it.

I don't have any electrical problems so i'm not too worried was just curious at to why it was there |

It's called a scotchlock and is the bodgiest of bodgy ways to splice into another wire . put it where it belongs in a bin .

seconding the above motion... most installers use them because they are fast... But they break the wiring and will cause nothing but a massive bunch of headaches... If you need to splice a wire then do it the right way... Get out the soldering iron...
Cheers, Tim
