hey guys
Anyone know any other car door trim that fits to xf's doors im doing a complete make over of the car paint, motor, interia and that where ive got my problem with the door trims if you know of a car PLZ tell i don't car what type of car it is ill proberly dismantle the door pannel and recover parts and that stuff thx guys

Ive seen VT Commo door trims in an XF, I imagine it took a bit of work to fit though.

VT's arent a direct fit, IIRC he only used a few bits off the actual trim
only real options are any XD-XH doortrims, although XD-XE arent a straight fit.... need a couple of changes IIRC

bugger i found a nice black set on ebay to suit my theme of black and white.
you wouldn't know what he changes on the VT door trims? thx

you are probably better off starting with you xf trims and doing come customizing
recovering, maybe some fibreglassing etc to get your desired effect.

ive heard that green xf had alot of work put into those door trims, not worth it imo.
Just get a quality retrim done on yours if it worries you that much, but remember if your going to do all this work and spend a heap of money on an xf now then be prepaired to keep it a long long time. Its not worth doing if your going to upgrade when your 21 to an au or something good

Very true, you want to be sure that your going to keep the car a long time. Aside from that, i started out with the same idea, but after playing around with ideas i decided it was just easier to start new from scratch. Ive nearly finished mine. I started out with a piece of 3mm mdf and went to town with fibreglass. I house my cerwin vega splits in them. There not in the car yet cause the rest of the interior is being finished. I'm not posting photos until its done. Cheers
