Is it hard to wire up the neons/LEDS to the inside lights or not?

I just tapped into the wiring going to the dome light.

bastard! :P lol great lot of healp YOU are martin! hehe

so you mean take the roof lining off then to access the wiring? i want to run courtsey lamps etc and other lights around the shop, so i figure thats the best bet to run it from there. even if i run a wire from there to a more accessable poin, and splice my wires from there.... hmmm...

I just ran a source wire under one of the B pillar's plastic covers. Pulled the roof lining back a little and fed it through until it appeared near the centre dome light. So anything i need to run off interior light, now have an 'access point' near the floor to tap into. Just check loadings on circuit and all should be sweet.

I'm sure if you have a wiring diagram it'd be easy enough to tap into the circuit near the BEM or dashboard switch maybe?

ive got 2 under the front footwells which are linked together into a music box thingy. (this music box thingy feels the vibrations from either treble or bass or both and the lights 'dance' to the beat.) ive also got 2 little LEDs that shoot from around my auto stick up towards the aircon vents. this makes a mad little effect over the center dash and the head unit. all this is wired to one main switch, a missile switch.

im bout to install 2 more in the rear but not sure where to put em. how does it look when they are under the front seats??

OK, well the most simple method.... remove the dome light from the roof. You will see the 2 wires that connect to the main dome light.

Tap into these two and run your wire wherever you want to install the lighting. Whatever you connect to this will light up when the interior light comes on (i.e. opening door or switching light on from dash).

I've got installed under the front passenger footwell for courtesy lighting. You cant see it and it emits great red light.

i have one on each door sill and under the parcell shelf. also have 2 CCFL tubes from Jaycar under drivers and passengers seat. the ccfl's are as thin as pencil and 300mm long and about 10 times brighter than a normal neon. more expensive though.
