hey all little minor issue with the XR8, the speedo seems to come and go every now and again, even in the diagnostic mode it wont work. has anyone got any ideas?

Just get Antony to check it out . . .
Sounds like the speed sensor output - check the g/box connector - the loom has red conduit. Since you've had a little rainfall your way, probably it's had some moisture ingress.

lol dont worry snap, this is a differnet car, the ED is no more lol, its getting striped and used as a bonfire.....
sweet, interceptor said it woulda been that, i am not keen on climbing under car:( if i jack it up i should be able to reach it without a hoist or ramops.

Mate I'll be locking it up if I was you, you carnt have it coming and going as it pleases. Seriously check and clean all the plug's gearbox, under bonnet, under dash & speedo head. Also check speedo transducer in the box. |

i cant lock car up coz its the only car...the excel is yeh running like s**t, blew a muffler and its a dog of a car, i will check it out 2mrrw
