Any ideas on what i can use to make the climate control, trip computer, and odo read out illuminate white ?

i know people have used cardboard / celephane etc to make it illuminate in other colours, can i just put in something clear to make it white ?
just trying to get an idea before i go ahead and try it.

i have tried all the coloured cellophane/cardboard/globe covers etc
but you either end up with it pale orange or a really milky white

leds are the best way to go for crisp clear (easy to read) whites
