You should try Plexus plastic polish @ $10-.
It's specifically designed for polishing see-through plastics and certified for use on aircraft windows so it must be rather good stuff I plan to by a tin and use it for all sorts of stuff including polishing the pesky scratches on my cd/dvd's that cause those anoying skips and lockups. I have no doubt that it will work rather well judging by how well it worked on my very scratched sun glasses. Cheers. |

Lol, I'd wondered why the plastic had gone all weird.
I cleaned mine with windex too. I have the gumption at home so we'll see how she goes.

Can anyone tell me how to safely remove the plastic?
I know to get the cluster initially out, I uncrew the two screws then use an allen key to pull it out. Whats gonna happen after that? Is the entire cluster sealer and I'll need to rip it apart to merely clean the plastic? Thanks |

I have just then fin swapping my cluster casing over with a brand new one supplied by FTG auto salvage for bout 36bucks; cheers nick.
All up took like 10min to pull dash apart, unclip the case n replace with new one, put dash back together AND reprogram my trip computer. Practice makes perfect.

Sorry it's an AU2 Falcon. So yeh, you unscrew the 2 screws just above the outter plastic, then use allen keys to pull it off? Then how do you just get the plastic out to clean?

Using gumption on the outter part of the plastic (which I used the windex on) didn't fix ... The marks are still there.

If you look closely he says that he has an AU2 Falcon. So a EF Lens wouldnt help him.

Try Plexus, it's specifically designed to polish perspect and other clear plastics and at ~$10 is less than 1/3 the cost of new EF lenses (don't know cost of EL lenses). Cheers |
