OK, i have had a look and cant seem to get any joy. I have just finished the power window conversion on the ED and as a result i fitted some EF Ghia door cards. Now i have struck a problem, namely the EF Mirror controller runs 7 wires, and the ED one runs 5 for the switch as well as 4 extra for the drivers mirror. Then there is 2 that run from the mirro to the switch.
Could anyone help me out on how to get the EF Controller to work with the ED mirrors. Cheers Brett

I can't seem to find the exact drawing i had of this wiring conversion, but this should help, courtesy of benj's thread.
And hear is said thread. This refers to his door mirror conversion, but should help anyway. http://www.fordmods.com./forums/post775271.html#775271 Andrew.

I still can't find, but should be able to explain.
The EF mirror loom will have the big plug that goes onto the back of the ef mirror switch, and the other small plug that goes to the ef mirror. When wiring the EF mirror switch to the EB door loom plug, the wires go, Purple to purple blue to blue red to red black to black purple/red to grey. Now you have to swap the EF mirror plug to EB. I can't find the colours of the drivers mirror, but should be same as passanger. The remaining 3 wires from the EF mirror switch plug will go to the EB mirror. red to brown purple to white blue to black. If you do the wiring like that, you'll be on the money.

And here is my contribution, even if it may be too late.
The left side is the EF switch to the right side being the EB wiring. Hope it helps BenJ

Just want to clear a couple of things up, firstly im trying to use an el/ef mirror switch in an nc, if i was to wire it up like troyman has in his pictures this would create and adaptor which is what i want, problem is though coming off the el\ef plug there is 2 plain blue wires and 2 plain purple wires, in the diagrams 1 blue and 1 purple go to one plug and the other 2 go to the other, does it matter whic ones go to which, if i wire it up wrong it wont contolling the wrong mirror will it?
Also on the smaller plug there is nothing connected to the black wire, should an earth be wired to this one?

If you get the wires wrong then yes it may control the wrong mirror, or the right mirror but wrong direction. If that happens, redo it.
You should be testing your loom before your wrap it up for the final time. BenJ

Here is a little diagram to show where the purple and blue wires go and all the others, the diagram is from the back of the plug that goes onto the ef\el mirror switch.
