wire it up to the interia light, or from the body control modual if a ef has one.
or u could wire it up to the door switch but then only the light on the switch that is opend would turn on |

Yeah but where abouts (physically) can I connect it up to?
TJ did his (EL) and put them up to just above the rear driver side seat. Had a look in my EF and didnt look the same so I thought I would ask. |

What i did was i put scotch locks on the glove box light cable. I know scotch locks are not good but i thought the wont be moving so i thought they would be good enoguh. Then i earthed the globes to the cable that goes to the switches on the doors. It cost me about $10 to do the whole lot. I was happy with it.
Hope it helps Cheers |

its a blue little plastic thing. It a a piece of plastic that folds in half and has a piece of metal that goes through on one side. This piece of metal has two slits in it which is skinier than wire and when you squeeze the lock the piece of metal cuts the skin of the wire touching the two pieces of metal and completing the join.
Did i confuse you, oh well its hard to describe. Bunnings will have them. I am not sure of the price but they cant be too expensive. |

if you take the cover off the steering column dylan, you will find the wires the lead to the courtsey light for the ignition barrel - so just use those ones mate you can't miss 'em!

haha come on man! honestly - thats the easiest spot to splice the wires from - it was that, or taking it from the centre light in the roof which i really wasn't looking forward to trying!

took me a grand total of 1 hour to wire up my 3 footwell lamps - and that included beer & food stops, as well as my mates trying to piss me off so its not that big an effort! *coming from the man who's had 2 x courtsey lamps sitting on the floor of his room for 2 months*
