I am trying to track down woodgrain parts to match the door trims from EF I fairmont ghia (namely the auto shifter surround and the passenger side dash insert).

I know that the same woodgrain was used in other models....anyone know which? And before anyone points out that EF I did not have the woodgrain dash insert, I know - these were on another model in the same woodgrain.

Any help appreciated, because at the moment I can't tell what's going to match without seeing it in the flesh (I don't trust photos when it comes to colours....)

as far as i'm aware, there are no shifter surrounds that would suit the EF I woodgrain.

the passenger side woodgrain i think comes from NF series I fairlanes.
I've got one on my car how ever it matches the EF II style woodgrain.

as far as i WAS aware, EF I and EF II woodgrain are the same, but some have said they're different.
the NF I woodgrain dash insert matches my EF II door trims so hard to say.

I'm pretty certain I've seen matching dash insert and shifter surround for whats in Chicken's car.

Maybe everyone can post up their woodgrain photos and tell us what model they're from :)

EF woodgrain was a more orange colour
EL woodgrain was a more brown colour unless your talking LTD/ELGT
no EF's had the shifter surround.

No dodgey photos though! Sometimes it can be so difficult to tell!

Hard to tell, especially when your grey trimming looks purple :P

Yeh, that is definitely different to mine. Mine is very similar colour, but the grain is straight, not wavy.

Wouldnt the shape of the grain depend on the tree?? :)

haha those above piks are the same to my dads ef ghia series one. i have the nl dash insert on his also. i didnt even know there was different colour bettwen them, either i didnt take too much notice (which i normally do) or they are similiar, just add el ghia ones. or better still make your own ones... out of real wood.. real stain and choose what ever colour you want, say mahogony on a burguny car with tan leather.....
