Cruising around on another 'well known' forum, i stumbled across this hot looking steering wheel out of an XH (EL) XR8 ute. As my steering wheel is just about buggered i thought this would be a good replacement. Im glad i have found a steering wheel that looks attractive yet still looks factory, im not a huge fan of the black leather EL/AU wheel.

Now, Im going to have an educated guess and say that it will fit onto my EL steering column. From the picture the wheel looks like it is the 'Luna Mist' colour. Can anyone confirm this and anyone able to point me in the right direction (other than Ford) where to get one of them?

Hi, did you try eBay? There are always lots of steering wheels similar to that one in the picture (not 100% sure, but worth a Captain Cook) being sold on eBay.

That wheel is a MOMO and was an option on EL XR's and is very similar to the EL GT wheel but without the woodgrain. I had one in my EF XR6 years ago. Great wheel, but was pretty exxy.

Try Roman Autotek (prices very high >$700) or wait on EBAY for one to come up. The wheel was not the most popular option as upwards of $1000 as an option and they were never standard on anything like the momos in the EB XR6's. They usually sell for under $500 on Ebay.

Alternatively, get an AU MOMO wheel for $225 off ebay. A bit colourful for me, but loads of blokes like 'em!

$700 plus!? I think i may have to have a search on e-bay and see what i can find. I just want a plain factory looking wheel (without any coloring).

Isn't it amazing that Fraud can charge that much for an option!! :x

geez that wheel looks nice! I'd really like an au momo one but i don't like the coloured leather. That one would match my interior nicely :D

Thats the exact wheel i'm after for my EF Fairmont. I tried calling Roman Autotech... the guy i spoke to didn't know what he was on about. If you end up sourcing one brand new let me know as i'd like one too :) I've been toying with the idea of buying a AU LTD Momo wheel and getting it retrimmed in grey to get rid of the woodgrain and to suit my interior. The coloured Momo wheels used in the AU XRs look gay in my opinion...

I have that wheel on the 5.0 now, picked it up from a wreckers for 130 from memory. The blaqck airbag for it was another 180, so just left my grey airbag on it
