airbag and radio controls are a straight swap physically but I have no idea how you'd wire up the stereo controls.

Physically, everything is a straight swap BUT the wiring is all different. You need the airbag, audio/horn switches, clock spring and combination switch. Then you need to re-route the wiring from the on/off switch. The AU runs through the combination switch while the EL runs through the clock spring.
The SET+, SET- and COAST buttons use a different resistance between the EL and AU - so this needs to be corrected.

The Audio controls are the easitst part. I am running a CAT10 adapter straight to my pioneer unit.

Yes, the car is filthy (as always).
Ahah, car is filthy, as always.

But hey, I admire the work on the door insert bottom, as seen here. Is there a write up anywhere on how to do this sort of thing?
