Just another thread, throw up a few pictures and info to what and how you've done your interior from plastic painting to other misc mods!

Even your conversion from gli->xr!

Yer lets see what everyone else has done !

pics of my dash are in gallery -
yet to be posted is my new roof lining ! Fuzion has seen it and a few other members aswell !
so come on and show us ya Interior Mods :) and you went about it :) :)
Image
with the dash facia , i got a spare , smoothed it out with 600grit sandpaper got lazy - took it to work and got the painters to highfill it and i rubbed it back with 800 wet n dry paper and airbrushed it with Car colour i had left over ! The silver bits were takin out of orignal dash facia and yet again smoothed down to rid the grain effect and then painted in frost silver ! no clear was applied ! wanted to keep a dull finish to it all :)
Image
also it may pay to get extra parts for the dash and what ever else ya want to paint cause when its done u just swap it over with ya original parts ! if ya dont like it swap them back !
Image

PS : im going to write up a doco on how to : prep and paint dash facia :
- for those who arnt to clue'e on that sorta stuff :)

sagging rooflining, torn and wobbly as f**k drivers seat, 2 snapped woodgrain spears, grease stained carpet, broken cruise buttons, f**k steering wheel, custom 360 degree swivelling Ghia badge on passenger doortrim  that pretty much sums up my interior. itll get fixed one day.

oh and the rear middle seatbelt dosent retract either.

I painted my dash green and the Tbar surround green on the old console but since i upgraded to this Au Console it looks out of place so now i just have to decide what colour to repaint the green bits !

I've gone for an improved factory appearance. EBII climate and trip computer, ED Ghia leather wrapped steering wheel, the doortrims are ED Fairmont but with the EA inserts (note the 6" speaker holes), EL Ghia kickpanels, most of the plastic surrounds (pillar trims, scuff plates etc.) are out of an ED. The only exception is the upper b-pillars as they didn't fit due to the moved seatbelt mounts. It's got indash cupholders and an NL fairlane interior light. The gearboot is custom, not EB GT.

how good are them mats in the last pic! just what i need to finish my interior  hope the cd got back to ya.

heres mine with the fronts done:

and here is the back part complete. it has ED ghia donut headrests and EF ghia leather door trims. i got the ghia ones cause they arn't velour have the map pockets but no lights and match the fronts perfectly. I had chrome handles but took them off but they might go back on.
Image

dual airbags and climate. got an eprom programmer and i made the radio code the same as the stock radio. the code in Ford's database will unlock my radio! also EL ghia plush pile carpet.
