Ok
what im after is someone to recommend a place that will convert my car to gas. i have been told that it has to be duel fuel and cant be changed over to dedicated gas. Well im not sure if im to happy with this because i dont want to be able to see any ugly looking things in my boot or under my bonnet. can anyone recommend a place? Rage LPG Racing will only do duel fuel.

The setup that will offer you the best performance and economy is called "Sequential Vapour Injection" or SVI. Currently, all SVI systems are designed for dual-fuel operation with the gas ECU calculating injection timing and quantity based on the timing and quantity calculated by the petrol ECU. Basically the system mimics petrol injection and will provide you with the same performance regardless of the fuel chosen.
The best systems I've seen for the Ford Barra I6 engine are Tartarini SVI and Eurogas SVI. Steer well clear of cheaper "mixer and converter" type system as they will not function well with the Barra engines. An alternative to the standard cylindrical tank is the toroidal tank which fits into your spare wheel well. Regards, Dave

leaving your spare tyre lurking around n the boot instead of the cyllinder.... would be good to be able to pull out the fuel tank. put the gas under the boot and possibly run a small 20L or something tank for petrol in the boot.... not sure about legalities of this...

A lot of dual-fuel cars sold in Europe come standard with a can of tyre sealant which will enable you to drive home (or to the closest tyre centre) without a spare. Regards, Dave
