Hey i was just hoping someone could help with this........im considering purchasing a bigger/better engine to drop into my AU (series 2 factory fitted LPG only). Im looking at hopefully an AU XR8 or v8 fairmont engine but if the budget will stretch (and it fits the car) possibly the BOSS 260 but i a have a few problems that i need help to get around.
1. I have factory fitted LPG which i want to still keep on the V8. Will it be a relatively easy swap over from the i6 to v8? i.e will the engine and transmission mounts and what not match up etc. 2. How much power can i expect to lose as i know that the factory LPG system is quite restrictive? 3. Has anyone done such a conversion before and is there any major difficulties to watch out for? 4. Whats the chances of the BOSS fitting the car. Im hoping to do this within the next couple of months so as much info as possible would be appreciated. Thanks Dom

Why not fit an NA Ba motor (nearly as powerful as a stock Windsor) or even better an XR6 turbo engine... I believe to fit a V8 you need to change around a lot of crap + possibly even the k-frame?
