Hi guys a bit off topic, but I have been told that they recon the government is planning to put a tax on gas next year? Has anyone else heard this or is it just another story going around?

I heard this too, something to do with the carbon trading tax. Bit of a cop out as its a cleaner burning fuel and they should be encouraging the use of LPG.

Hi all i took a used Mitsubishi verada V6 94 model and was wondering if converting to Gas would be any good? I get an avg of 7 KM/Ltre economy now and would love to know if LPG conversion's gonna improve the economy any better? If it does please suggest some good LPG installers for me thank you. hey guys,
i've booked my car in for conversion from a mixer system to an injection system. thats not the issue as the installer is willing to say its a straight out new install and when he got it the car didnt have any lpg system.

the car is registered in my dads name, but its mine. and he has already claimed a rebate on his car. will i have to pull a dodgy and transfer the rego papers into my name, then back after it? (full comp insurance is much cheaper for him and not me being 19). what else will i have to send copies of with the claim?
cheers guys! :D

Yes if the car is in his name. He can't claim 2 rebates.

If the car has even been registered beforeas an LPG car you cant claim the rebate anyway.

it hasnt been converted under the rebate as such. however i think it was factory optioned. (will that be in VIN number details at all?)
could it was taken off gas (completely removed), and is now being re-converted under a different owner?
