Just had the rac man out to diagnose my car running rough under load
and he thinks a spark plug is on its way out. Whats the best spark plugs to use in the e-gas sedans? I only use ngk platinum iridiums normally because i was told they were the best. What are the best spark plugs to use in these? |

I use NGK Iridiums as well in my NF 5.0 on LPG but I was told by Joe at CMS that they aren't the best for gas, but I can't remember why

Bosch double platinums. These last the longest and puts the least strain on the engine's ignition system. When replacing the spark plugs, make sure that you use a generous amount of dielectric grease between the boots of the ignition coils and the top of each spark plug to ensure that they are electrically sealed.
Model number: FR 7 KPP 33 U + Required electrode gap is 0.9 mm

That's right, it to do with the size of the electrodes I think? iridiums only have that fine point instead of the larger area of the normal type electrodes. Correct me if I'm wrong here folks!

Thanks champ,my car is running the best its been in the 4 years i have had it.
My mechanic also found that one of the coil packs was stuffed so got that done too. But they also found on three solenoids are cracked on the lpg mixer, and there is a 16mm heater hose coming of the mixer that is leaking, not badly though. Its going to ford on wed coz my mechanic cant touch it because its lpg related. Are the three solenoids expensive and how long should it take to do the job? thanks mate |

They supply and repair the Vialle LPG converters and are the cheapest place to source replacements.

All that is done via eastern states (ie Melbourne, I think). To replace the solenoids, get them from Orbital. They usually have them on eBay but don't have anything listed at the moment. Try sending them a message. http://myworld.ebay.com.au/vialleparts/ ... 4340.l2559 |
