very likely we are talking about your leads being stuffed.

you need special wire wound GAS specific leads. I have replaced mine before for this problem and fixed it 100%

Sorry for the thread cut. Who supplies these leads? and how much? do you know a part number?

Thanks.

New spark plugs fixed mine, LPG seems to be fairly sensitive to heat ranges and plug gaps as well as how old they are.

I had this happen last week. I got new Bosch LPG leads, colder plugs gapped to 0.9 and changed the PCV valve ( all just over the counter at Bursons) and now she runs like a dream.
Its lost the flat spot under acceleration and returned 14 litres per 100km on a 220 km highway run.
Very happy.

I have just got Top Gun LPG leads. these work ok but tend to have a habit of the caps falling off if you are not careful.

There are several different leads on the market. I would probably go for NGK branded gear as I have had good experience with them. I should change my plugs.

The PCV valve is another important thing to replace. The original plastic one can disintegrate and bits fall into the engine. There is a metal replacement available. Ford had a bulletin about this.

had top guns on the AU, found that the plug boot did not fit the plugs properly and the spark jump down the outside of the plugs.

took the old boots off and fitted MSD boots. hasn't misfired or backfired since.
