I did a conversion on the weekend on a BF wagon.
We had the workshop around the corner do a comparison on the dyno. Both graphs shown are best of two runs for each fuel. The dip in power on petrol was repeated every run. |

Absolutely no other changes were made.
It's a bog stock BF wagon with 70 000ish km on the clock. The runs were all done after the conversion, we drove the car around for 15 mins to warm everything up, strapped it down and did two runs on petrol, then pressed the change over button and let the car idle until it changed to LPG then two runs on LPG. Even the worst LPG run was better then the best petrol one, But like I said these are the best of each. You can feel the extra torque when you drive it and this was the first LPi install i've done so we figured with the dyno 50M around the corner and it only costing me $80 for all the runs it was worth it just see. Needless to say we have laminated the printout and will be adding it to the Orbital display. (I am now north Queenslands only authorized Orbital installer. The only installer north of Rockhampton) This is the finished engine bay shot. All that needed here is install the fuses and fit the compliance plate. This is the change over lower manifold being setup with the LPi injectors and hoses. |

That is the cleanest/whitest BBM I've ever seen.
I'd love to get a conversion like this if it is possible with a modified engine. |

For that job I quoted the guy on Orbital and JTG as well as Sprintgas and Emer SVI. He chose the Orbital. The only bonus for me with JTG is you can tune it. Orbital can't be tuned and can't be fitted to modified engines. Even then you have to fit 10 standard JTG kits before they will sell you a custom kit. There isn't much call for it up this way, so the 10 kits will take a long time. |

Be interesting to see what the LPG consumption will be like.
I take it would be similar to a vapour system - similar to the petrol consumption. Your customer will be back for a 1000km or so check ??

First service/inspection is at 1500km and is free.
I have asked them to give me as much feedback as they can. |

Orbital's LPi system is probably one of the best LPG systems that I have ever had the pleasure of experiencing. All the gear looks very well engineered and manufactured. With the simplicity of the system, it is possible to make the underbonnet install look almost factory with the only visible bits being the supply and return hoses and the new ECU. We've had this system fitted to one of our cars since September 2009...

It's a very well thought out and built conversion. It's the only conversion I've done where EVERYTHING you need is in the kit. I didn't need to pull any parts off the shelf to finish the install.
Everything is there, right down to pre cut lengths of heat shrink to cover every soldered join that you have to make. Even the switch doesn't look out of place, unlike most other systems where the switch looks like an afterthought. |

Only thing that suck's is that you as an installer cannot modify the tune... not saying its a bad tune but there may be more in it and for future mods...

It's a shame that it took over a decade after release for this system to appear in Australia. The Vialle LPi equipment has been commercially available in Eruope since the mid to late 1990s...

In Europe, Subaru convert Forester and Legacy with the Vialle LPi kit and have been doing so for years...
