I have a question. That hopefully someone has already done some work on.
Is boosting you fuel with Hydrogen illegal in Australia at this time using this technuqie and does it void any insurance on any cars??

I have searched RTA ACT & NSW and can't find anything yet.

It's been a while since I replied and it is great to see so many people interested in this topic. I finally put together my first cell today. Simply 90mm stormwater pipe and at present 6mm stainless rods. Needless to say I haven't got too far into it at present. I even made the Nescafe Gold test jar to see how it went. I was surprised how much gas worked with just the rods in the electrolyte. I thought I might have a play with the rods for a bit to see what happens. Perhaps 3 +ive and 3 -ive. I don't know what to expect but I will post the results. I'll post some pics when I get a chance. Keep up the great work.

sincere regards,

Good question, - I would like to know that too. Can't see why it would be illegal, aside from the fact that the govt misses out on some fuel tax.

Hi all. Firstly I have been poking around your feed for the last few weeks.
I have been trying rather hard to produce a good qnty of HHO. To Date last night I had well over 2litres per minute. BUT it was also running at over 90amps. My cell was +-+-+-+- Yeah I know stupid but first timers have to start somewhere.

Anyway I now am in the midst of plate design.
I have 15 Plates 15cm x 15cm SS
After plenty of reading and searching this is how I am going to try this week end to see which one produeces the best.
Any help would be good if you do not think I am doing it right... :? Please.....

Let Friday be over so I can start playing!!!!! I will get back with my findings for you all.

ohh and my positive plate is 2mm thick where the -'s are 1.6

--+-- and the production is not that great. I am going to add another 2 - on the sides this weekend to see if it makes a difference.

You will laugh at me?? I stuffed around with some small stuff to prove to myself it works. (Stainless Steel Vegie cooker) Now getting straight to the big guns 150mm x 150mm plates.

Trying to produce heaps of HHO to drive my car even further!!!!

If you see a mushroom cloud around Canberra it is just me using to much HHO in the 99 Fairmont.

I am currently using a 20ltre Home brew Kit.......

It probably will not work but I have had my first dismal attempt And I lost a plate..
13 plates 2 negative and 1 positive
-nnnnn+nnnnn-
Wel it worked great at 10-30ml per minute.

Then I tried
13 plates 3 negative and 2 positive
-nn+nn-nn+nn-
Not bad (Big Bubbles!!!
Gone up to a masive 60ml per min

(I need Litres not this pidly crap.)

Back to the drawing board......

just a couple of thoughts, - have u done any surface prep on ur plates? i.e. crisscross scratches with linisher or such? that usually makes a big difference.
also make sure u don't get fingerprints on surfaces while assembling.

even with bad preparation i have noticed that production increases once plates get conditioned, (nothing special - just running the cell will condition them eventually)

what are u using for electrolyte? (some produce better than others for same amps)

u probably have read all this stuff and more, but i know how easy it is to overlook some things.
keep experimenting you will hit a good setup soon

Be carefull of this guy, dont know what he is making but the plans he is also selling are not his, but are the original Hydrostar plan (no good to us),
which is totaly different to what he is selling.

Can someone post up where/how they managed to get the stainless steel plates for their projects?

I've been looking for a supplier who can do this on a small scale at least for my research needs, but I think the only s/s supplier with decent grade stuff sells them by the large-ish sheet and won't mess around with a small scale hack like me.

I've had a look on Ebay and found some baking trays for $50 which might be ok to slice up into plates.

Can someone point me in the right direction for plate assembly? I've seen some footage on youtube of some fantastic gas production with specific plate arrangements.

Cheers from WA.
