G'day,
I'm considering using E10 on Ford AUII. I was reading the Automotive Industry Association website to see if Ford vehicles can run on E10 ethanol fuel, Website said it can, but I don't trust websites. Has anyone used ethanol blend, if so, have you had any problems with it? and are the any signs of injector seals leaking etc? Cheers, Peter |

G'day uniacidz
Thanks for the link, it's informative, however I'm not high tech minded. From what I gathered they were using a car that takes 98 RON Fuel which required tuning for each fuel blend used. As mine is 91 RON, from what I understand it will be ok to use E10 and no need to tune my car. E10 will provide additional KW and stlighly better than 91 RON but not as many klms using E10 as opposed to 91 RON...would this be correct? Does this fuel (E10) effect fuel injector seals and associated rubber components, I cannot get Ford to answer this question, all I was told is to "monitor the car".. Cheers, Peter |

uniacidz,
Thanks for the additional info. From what I understand using E10 seems cheap initially verses unleaded 91 and unleaded premium 95 but longterm it's not economical. Hmmmm. I'll give it a whirl and will test that E10 when I go up to East Greenmount next week, about a 274 klm round trip. Cheers, Peter |
