hey all

just chasing a summary/description of the tickford LPG system as fitted to my Gli wagon. just chasing how everything all works/ECU/switching from petrol to gas/gas tank levels etc - i'm clueless about LPG, so just want to know what i have to do/be wary of/keep an eye on, as i'm hoping to get it on the road this weekend after doing the head gasket

cheers!

I have a copy a diagram for the electrics - but it's for aftermarket fitted Vaille systems for EF's only uses the same vaille control unit as factory tickford but splice's in to the OEM loom and has a seperate control unit for the timing when running on gas. PM me if you want a copy of it.

The factory tickford units had the lpg timing controled by LPG ECU's.

There's some good information in the technical docuements on the factory Tickford set up: http://www.fordmods.com/forums/documents.php?doc=18

did the gregories manual have the details in it?
I just picked the system up but it had bits of other harnesses intertwined into it through habibs taxi wiring hey so damn that was frustrating

if your fuel guage reads both lpg and petrol content and if you don't have a central locking button on your dash but have a fuel selector push button there instead you have a tickford factory gas setup - there should be a separate tickford lpg manual as well as the normal car owners manual as well
