Got a few taxis at work playing up, all ba falcons factory egas with vialle converters.
Some of them seem to have intermittant lean periods for no reason, put your foot down and it doesn't go anywhere, you can feather the throttle a little to get it moving but it doesn't recover. Put the into neutral, kill the engine and restart it and away you go.
Ive got other drivers telling me sometimes the stall for no reason and run rough when under 1/2 tank of gas. if they fill them back up again its ok again. Sometimes when they stall they need to wait a min or 2 until it restarts. i think its the BP gas they are putting in them has gummed up the converters.

If anyone has secrets they want to share it love to hear them.

whats the highest km you've seen on an egas?
i think the best we have in the fleet is 450k. (so far)

Sounds like you need to get the converters and throttle bodies cleaned out.

Dave

the 1/2 tank bit is strange, seems to indicate the problem may lie there

maybe the pickup in the tank is defective
