El falcon, won't run on petrol, <> fuel filter changed new fuel pump fitted. new fuel pump relay fitted,<> Won't start on petrol. with gas it is hard to start in the morning but is usualy ok after that till next morning. <><><> turn ign. on, solinoids click in, fuel pump starts & runs for few seconds as per normal, but won't start on petrol
any help would be greatly appreaciated, but remember I'm old, have little money and am on my own, so an $80:00 an hour mechanic is out of the question.

have you checked power/pulse to injectors?

Say for speculation purposes, the fuel pump was dead, and when it was replaced the hoses were put back on the wrong way around?

You obviously have spark for the gas to run... You have fuel travelling to the injectors, either the injectors are blocked (should be able to have them reco'd for $100), fuel is at the wrong side of the reg, or there is no injector pulse as Mad said...

You can always pull the diagnostic codes from the petrol EEC-V computer yourself too and see if there is a sensor error? There is a how to in the tech docs section at the top...

WELL Here I am again!!! Silly Old fool that I am, " The problem is solved"!!!!It is the fuel! it is old and has gone off, it is all gunky, has stuck up the fuel pump( the new one) So I assume the filter and injectors will be clogged up also, Have ordered New pump, filter and injectors, now to empty old fuel out and clean tank. not sure how yet, but will work on that problem while I wait for spare parts,
