okay i just pulled the line off and went for a drive. its a hundred times better but when slowing down for a turn it still revs really really low for a few seconds. ill try turning the 90 degree piece on the converter so it points down instead of to the front, maybe that will make a difference.

Man I love Fordmods..

I have been experiencing exactly the same problem and haven't been able to get to the bottom of it.

I didn't cut holes in the airbox (EBII) and it was happening to me.. I ended up taken it to LPG specialists  who had no idea.. they rebuilt the converter etc and it made no difference. They did all sorts of things (costing me $$) and couldn't get to the bottom of it.

Then they noticed that when they left off the factory snorkle by accident it drove heaps better! So I've had no snorkle for the past year.

Now the other weekend I fitted an XH snorke to the car thinking that it was the restrictive EB one that was causing the problem. The XH came with a balance pipe in it. (I didn't know what it was) so I just took it out, plugged the hole and fitted the snorkle

And the problem returned!! Always on de-accleration it dies.. I got used to just changing down to 3rd on the auto to stop this.

Tonight I'll disconnet the balance line from the bottom of the airbox and remove it from the converter and see if it solves everything. :P

The XH 1 has the balance pipe in the correct place by the sounds of it. Your problem coud be a blocked or broken pipe or it is in the wrong place.
Have fun. At least you have some info to play with.

yeah.. it's probably in the right place in the intake.. but I didn't want a restrictive tube stuck in there lol, it defeats any gains from putting the XH snorkle on there in the first place. :-p

I'll disconnet the pipe and see what happens

well... I couldn't find a balance pipe??? I have a Lovato converter.. it has two water pipes, two lpg lines, a vacume line to the manifold and another vacume type line going to a solinoid or something and that is it.

where is this balance pipe you speak of??
