I got a quote for Eurogas vapour injection from Andrew in Pakenham Victoria.
The only sequental vapour injection brand I've heard of has been OMVL. How are eurogas? I've booked it in. Strange thing is a mixer gas research system from him cost $3200 and this vapour injection is cheaper. It is coming in next month for the ED which is when he is fitting it. The injectors used are Cowen or something like that. Just wondering why it's so cheap? |

Does this include the government grant in the price ?
sounds a bit more reasonable to be $4650 |

Based on what the page @ the end of the link says, it's a common rail sequential injection system. That's fine as long as the delivery piping from the base of the injector to the " bung " in the manifold is as short as possible. For the same reasons that you want the pipe from a converter to the gas mixer in old style systems as short as possible.
I personally prefer injection setups that mount the injector as close to the port/bung as possible. But an injection setup under $3k is a good sight to see! It still needs to get cheaper tho to move ppl onto the injection setups. Even with the grants around, it's hard for a lot of ppl to get the money upfront for the install! Cheers ToranaGuy

Yes they do, but how much would it cost to get a kit shipped over? Obviously minus the tank & supporting bracket, as they are the heaviest items & available locally. I'd be suprised if you could find a fitter who could fit such a kit & it end up costing a significant amount less than a locally supplied & fit kit. Cheers ToranaGuy

The kits appear to be the same as the ones being sold here and no they do not generally include tanks. If you just wanted the computer, valve bodies, hoses, fittings, converter then a kit at about $2000 including postage is good. If you know a fitter who can help you out then you are laughing. I just want to get my old mixer system upgraded to multipoint. I already have the tank and lines installed so an underbonnet kit is the way to go. I spoke to one installer who wasn't interested as he said there was no kit available to suit older models. I would think a closed loop feedback injection system is for the main part self learning so set up is simple. It seems this is not the case and a dyno-run is needed to get things right. Again... that is still pretty easy if you know what you are doing. As far as the actual install of the Gas injection. I have a spare intake manifold so it can be set up easily in the workshop and swapped onto the car once ready to go. The whole lot can be done in a day. But... and this is the big one. It's not worth spending something like $4000 is it? $2000 is a much better option.
