I talked to a mechanic today and he said to test for a vacuum leak, which can cause gas to run rough, run the car and spray carby cleaner or aerostart around the inlet manifold and if the revs pick up the a vacuum hose is suckin it in and from this you can find you vacuum leak. I guess just spray it closer to areas that might be leaking until you spray it over the right spot (revs up) then that is the exact location. Haven't tried it yet, but will soon. BTW he is a gas installer and this is the way he does it.

Yep, that is they way everyone checks for a vacuum leak. You can use any spray such as degreaser, oil, etc. Revs will drop if the spray doesn't burn and rise if it does burn. Either way you are just looking for any change in revs.

cheers
Scott
