Yes ^^ i hope you are not using the accelerator while starting the car ! If its Dual Fuel let it fire up then give it gentle revs to switch it over to gas (depending on the system). When my system backfired it cracked my airbox mounts so i had to replace them, but i think water on my Dizzy was the cause due to a big puddle.
Also you shouldnt need L.P.G spark plugs because if its a new system i would start up on petrol and then switch over to gas (if unsure best speak to who ever fitted the system). Check your leads i have heard that thicker ones are better for an L.P.G Application !

Should never touch accelerator on any efi car whether it is running on gas or petrol. Get the spring clips for the airbox to avoid smashing it to bits.

Backfires on gas are caused by a lean condition 19 times out of 20. Prime it a little longer before you start it. If you don't have a priming solenoid, try fitting one.

Legit lpg installs have compliance plates fitted, find out who fitted it and ring them. Think outside the square,

Think outside the square, The compliance plate may not have the name of the installer shown as the Roads and Traffic Authority, NSW (RTA) requires a "Workcover Authority (NSW)" to be used and so does not use names but it will use numbers instead like "Installed by ________ (Lic No)" "Repair/W'shop _________(Rep No)" So it could be difficult to find the original installer but you could try going to an LPG specialist or mechanic and they maybe able to help with your issues and even tune it |
