Hey guys. Does anyone know of a GOOD LPG place where i can take my EF falcon to?
I need to get my tank re-certified (Past the 10 years). I also need a new gauge/float as the gauge is reading incorrect (Both on the tank AND dash and yes the wiring is correct) and it also needs a new service valve. I can turn off the valve and still gas running I also need it to get a good tune up and a general look over as the previous owner tried to do his own fitment and stuffed it up majorly So yeah if someone can point me in the right direction, that would be great and also a rough price guide as per the above. Thanks

I have an EF sedan tank thats certified till 2018 that I am selling for $120. I think you will find that way cheaper than recertification (at least it is up here) Pickup in Bendigo over XMAS if you are intereted. Had a new valve installed during the cerification.

If you need valves replaced ^^^^ probably isn't a bad deal.
Unless it's a different style of tank mount or valve arrangement, then the savings will be spent on refitting a plumbing. |

No the tank must be removed and gas exhausted and then its pressure tested. If it passes it gets the compliance plate stamped and a certificate issued.

The tank needs to come out of the car, The actual certification cost is only $120 - $200 depending on the size of the tank and the type of safety relief valve. The extra cost will be labor for remove/refit.
The tank needs to be removed by an authorized installer and certified by an authorized cylinder testing station. then re fitted by the authorized installer. The installer will then inspect the entire system for compliance with AS1425 and issue a certification. The rules on needing to issue a new compliance plate seem to be blurry depending on who answers the phone when you tank to Mines and Energy. I issue a new plate as the plate costs $1 and takes 5 mins to fill out and fit. It's just not worth hassle it could create by not fitting a new plate. |

Sorry I miss read what you said before i made that post.
If you buy the above tank you don't need to have re tested. When its fitted to the car the installer is required to carry out an inspection of the entire gas installation and issue you with a certification or advice on repairs. |

Sorry I am out in the East so probably not worth it.you should be able to find someone local. Any Gas
place should be able to R&R a tank without any problems you would think. Let your fingers do the walking, they will ask what type of tank you have IE Multivalve or 4 separate valves. If it's an APA tank it has 4 valves they are the cheaper style to test. Regards TPVM.
