How much am I looking at to convert my dual fuel EL fairmont to dedicated gas. I am sick of the gas going out of tune and I want to tune it to run purely on gas rather then petrol and gas. What is involved and what is it going to cost me in the end?

check out crow for gas cam to suit the motor, any specs you like, too much difference in timing between lpg and petrol, increase compression to 10-10.5\1 lpg loves it,premium petrol, did they use or change the eccu,my comy runs twin computers and runs each fuel well, had the chip written for both fuels.

been running both, for 14-15years in 4 cars,no problem-but tune for only 1,unless you have 2 computers to set timing, all run gas-lpg cams

The qustion has to be asked, how often do you run the car on ULP???

I run mine bugger all on ULP and sounds the same for you too. My car is more tuned for LPG than petrol and I have the TickfordFactory LPG ECU which changes maps for each fuel. \

At least you have an EL you can advance timing by about 5 degrees put in XR6 plugs (LPG Like colder plugs) and adjust spark gaps to suit LPG.
Another option is to get a Tickford duel fuel ECU and do some reserch on how to switch betwwen maps.
