I have picked up a GRA throttle body last minute on an Ebay auction and it looks like I have an s480, I am wanting to put it onto my AU I6 motor but am concerned it may be too high a flow rate. Any opinions on its suitability.
Second, I have only recently replaced my vialle convertor and don't want to replace it with another one just yet, will the convertor work OK with the GRA carb by removing the stepper motor?

no and no. the gra carbs use a b2 with their own springs in it.

No ? - no opinion or is it not suitable?

No? The Vialle is a complex convertor running a simple mixer , is the B2 a simple convertor or complex? I would assume I could run a complex mixer with a complex convertor.

the S480 should work fine, it'll just be a little harder to tune.

B2's are simple converters, but GRA converters use different spring kits to work properly with the GRA Carb.
i guess the converter working depends on the availability of the right spring kit for the internals.

B2 converters are about $100 so its not a big outlay

probably could have been a bit clearer. i don't think it would be too big. these mixers work with a simple converter. all the mixture controls are on the mixer. i am also led to believe that gra has its own springs in their b2's.

The size was my main concern, good that it is not oversized. My old EF V8 had a s440 so the concern was that it was too big.
I guess I can try it, if it fails then invest in a b2 and ebay the vialle, might end up with a profit who knows.

Got a near new B2 which is supposed to be a Gas research convertor. Is there any external difference between a B2 and a Gas Research modified B2 so I can confirm it?
