i just got my tank tested and stamped, its factory fitted tickford gas ina a 96 ef falcon the problem being it was running perfectly on gas before i pulled the tank out but when i put the tank back in and connected every thing it now wont change to gas, every time i start it, it starts on petrol and when it changes over it dies and stops
could some one please tell me iff i have done something wrong or iff i have another underlying problem.
thankyou, adrian

yes it had a solinoid at the tank, i conected it back the same.
its clicking at the tank. is there any fuses that i may have blown in the process of putting the tank back in.
i also drove it around for 2 days on petrol after i removed the tank, not that i think that done anything.

There is air in the lines, if you flick on petrol, hold it at about 2,500 rpm and keep flicking it to gas and before it dies switch back to petrol and do the process over and over again about 10 times, it might fix it.

If the tank has been removed and the lines get disconnected, you get air lock (easiest way to explain it.) has happened to me a couple of times.

Failing that check connections on the tank, there will be a shut off soliniod (wire going to it)and also check that the LPG is turned on at the tank itself too(always a fun party trick that one)

i seem to have found the problem it had a faulty shut off valve and after i fixed that the converter was frozen solid so i poored warm water over it while i had it running on petrol then pushed the lpg button while my mate poored some more warm water on the converter and it changed to gas and now seems to be starting on petrol and changing to gas and idling fine.

i had it at the mechanics allday yesterday and they didnt fix it and still charged me $150 for there time grgrrrrrrr.

ps thankyou all for your help and suggestions.
