can i just unhook the hoses that go from my gas converter thing to my motor and no gas will come flying out? or do i need to have it done professionally tryed to ring afew places but its sunday lol just need to know as im pulling out my motor!

It should be fine.
To be 100% safe turn off the tap in the rear on the tank and remove the solenoid activation wire from the soleniod near the convertor.
