hey guys
i got a lpg system(Vialle) off a mate for $250 but ive hit a few problems
3 wires came out of a plug when removing from 97 el fairmont if you see the pick below you see the black wire still in it spot but the yellow purple and blue wire have come out and mixxed up from the sub computer.

has anyone got a wiring loom for this system sitting around that they could take photo or scan and sent to me PLZ!!!! i could proberly do fax just need to call me before faxing it to my work fax so no one throws it in the bin or takes it.

also anyone know where i can buy a solinoid for the converter?

after i get it all wired up and new solinoid i take down the a lpg shop to get it checked over and tested and plated so it legal.

That $95 fuel bill(week) is killing me especially that im a 2nd year apprentice mechanic. that basiclly 1/3rd my wage in fuel LOL
but at the end of the day I LOVE MY FORD!!!!! :D :D :D

Not sure which wires you are referring to here but there are three wires that come out of the AMS box that are for calibration, if you look in the technical documents there is a tuning procedure that details the wiring colours, perhaps this will help.

i can't find any tech notes on lpg except for some basic tickford lpg one and a lpg tweak and performance tech note

pin 1 black/red (spade connector)
pin 2 red/black (spade connector)
pin 3 black wire (plug)
pin 4 purple (plug)
pin 5 not connected
pin 6 yellow/white (plug)

If you removed the LPG stuff from an EL and are attempting to put it in an EF you should stop now as they are different. The LPG hardware maybe the same but the electronics and lpg wiring loom are different.

The small black enclosure (approx 100 * 70* 30mm) is part of the aftermarket Vialle loom. It alters / controls the spark when your on running LPG.

On the factory Tickford system this unit is part of the ECU.

I can supply you will the wiring guide on how to install the aftermarket vialle system in to an EF.

But you need to get right loom and electrical hardware to suit an EF.

I would also talk to a LPG place to see if you can get your install signed off as well before trying to fit the gear. I did the conversion last year using second hand epiupment and to be honest i would not do it again it's better to start with a new setup.

k
well i talked to the guy at lpg installs and said that i could do the install but it must run on fuel and gas and not leks and all that stuff he gave me a sheet of what to do and rules and that.

he would cert it only if it was good and all that

i proberly won't do it again either im just take this under little experence in lpg installs cause ill fiddling with lpg soon at work so i just wanted to get heads up and i love learning in first hand about everything to do with cars.

If i could get them wiring diagrams off ya bottlejack15 that would be great!!!!

how do you want to send it? pm or fax or email?

Cheers,
Jason

have u had a look at this thread for an EF diagram

http://www.fordmods.com/forums/viewforum.php?f=44

there are only minor differences between this and the EL setup...the main gas computer should work as well on the EF as it did on the EL

That link is for the Factory tickford LPG set up which is slightly different to the aftermarket.

The info i have tells you which wires to splice into and where to do it.

If you send me a PM with a fax number i will fax the info to you. Also include your email address and i will send a couple of pics so you can get the wiring in right order on the small black enclosure.

cheers

I only have it in paper format and I don't have a scanner so would rather fax it to who ever needs it.

Hi there,
I know this thread is old, but I'm interested in the info.
If I can get hold of it I'm offering to scan it and post here for benefit of everyone.
Is the info still available?
