I've got a OMVL R90E Converter and simple mixer ring, I have noticed a bit of drop in power on petrol from pre-gas its not too bad though considering

A slight bit off topic but does anyone know if with my current setup if I'd be able to fit a GRA Throttle body and use that with the OMVL mixer?

Due to all the problems I am having with the Impco system can anyone tell me what would be the best way of going up to the next stepup prior to going to the injector system .
I want something to stop the back firing . I have the stepper motor all the way open , but from Idle to acceloration she goes BANG . It seems the response time is just too slow , but then on cruising at 110Kph she will start the back firing as well .
There definately seems to be a time lag between petrol to gas change over , however that should not give me backfie at cruising .
I am going to check if I have the right mixer fitted for a V8 and that the gas supply hoses are of the correct I/D does anyone know which mixer I should be running ?
Thas and regards ,

Can you tell us more about what Impco system you have?
There are many types you know...does it connect to the factory ECU or does it have it's own computer piece?

The system consists of a mixer ring , a stepping motor and 2 electronic boxes 1 that shows leds wether rich/lean and accelorater .
The stepping motor is located about 4" from the mixer ring and about 18" from the mixer.
When sitting at traffic lights etc. and you are ready to take off slow at first , as soon as you touch the ccelorater for slow start she goes Bang and you have to switch to Petrol to rstart and take off.
To the best of my knowledge it is not connected to the ECU
Regards , Peter.

I run an OMVL R90E convertor with simple mixer on my AU 5.0, far better than Impco as i've worked on and ran quite a few different setups on different cars, Impco will throw your economy out the door.

Hi ,
What spark plugs are you running ?
