hey,
just wondering whether its legal to import spare parts for your converter, its just things like water taps , brass instead of plastic, and some electronics. and whetehr customs will have a problem with it. cheers

don't see why not? I have bought lots of things on ebay and was considering gas parts too.

don't see why it would be illegal - provided there's no gas in it.

yeah logically it shouldn't be a drama as i'm not getting anything like a whole converter but just wanted to make sure before spening money.

The fitting part is the thing you may have a problem with. I fitted my converter myself but had the gas fitter that sold it to me connect the gas line and check for leaks. The inspection by the gas fitter took care of the legal side of things.

This thread is really old but $300 buys you a brand new one of either of those converters. You can get OMVL kits on ebay from the UK for about $50 plus postage which is horrendous from there.
