Hi All,

Can any of the factory wiring/connectors for lpg be used when wiring in an aftermarket system (Impco in my case)?

Especially the wires going to the boot that could be used for gas lock off & gas sender unit.

if the car came factory gas i dont see why you couldnt use the wires
it would be abit like replacing a stereo and speakers using factory wiring
just check there in good condtion ie. no wear crushed wires or shorts

the only wiring that a falcon would have separate to the actual gas system wiring is a trigger from the ECU which can be rigged up on any ecu with a J3 chip.

by adding pins and adding a signal to the correct pin at the ECU it will turn the injectors off and change to an LPG spark map whilst sending a 12v signal to the gas system (relays and solenoids in the bay)

a bit of cost and f**k around, but makes for a great system when tuned correctly.

i can't see ford including looms for the LPG system in cars that don't require it.
would be like putting in looms for power windows with no power windows...

see if there is any of the LPG trigger wiring at the ECU and see if it goes anywhere, would be the best you can hope for.

EF pins:
92 - LPG fuel select - input
95 - LPG shutoff - ouput

EL pins:
8 Fuel Select - input - Petrol 9Volts, LPG 0Volts .
13 LPG Cut Off -output - 0V LPG On, 12V LPG Off ..
