Most of the difficulty is in countering the variations of energy density found from tank to tank of gas. Getting parts off the shelf to do this relatively easily is certainly possible, if expensive. keeping LPG as a liquid in the heat of the engine bay just requires very high pressure. SO you have to modify an LPG tank to accept a return line and a high pressure pump (or two) and then run very high pressure injectors, regulator etc.
http://www.mclarenelectronics.com/Products.asp?subtype=Injectors&type=Fuelling&id=66 yes mclaren they have 30bar injectors, regulators etc. Liquid injection is NOT hard to build...nor can it be patented if its using normal efi components....what IS patented is the technology to measure the energy density and automatically compensate injector pulse widths etc. They also use a patented system to supply LPG to normal injector rails (which I think is dangerous btw) but it seems to work for them so meh, good luck to them. |

There was a Red XE V8 Ghia fitted with a turbo (not at first) and LPG liquid injection, his car used to have a webpage about it, I am guessing a lot of things went wrong as he went backwards I think and used GRA mixer/s I think.
