Hey all,

My Valle converter died last week and i had it swapped out with an OMVL converter...now everythings running fine in regards to the car just when i crank the car from an off position i takes around 4 -5 seconds to fire and start whereas the Valle was almost instant to 1 second.

The guy who installed it said he set the mixture to 2.5 and that everything was A ok with it.
Just wondering if its taking ages to start because of the new converter?

I went back and saw the guy who installed it and he told me this will happen when a new converter is installed, The diaphram in the converter stretches and so the car leans out when starting. He hooked up some machine to the tailpipe and we found to it to be running rich @ 4.5 instead of 2.5, So he adjusted it back to 2.5 and its working fine now.

Probably also due to the fact the Vialle converter has a cold start pre-prime solenoid on it ... to aid in faster starting ... I don't think the OMVL is equipped with this.
