The licences of gas fitters are governed by state and federal regulations. Which are pretty tough at times, basically you need to find someone who is authorised and licensed to repair a gas converter, there in lies your problem. Your everyday lpg converter is licensed to install exchange components and new installations. However no repairs are permitted, in WA anyway. You will have to find a repairer, licensed, and willing to do it, could be more costly than a replacement as they have to be endorsed by the manufacturer in most instances. So I suggest get a new 1.

I assume he's talking about the rubber diaphram thingo in the middle, mine got a hole in it and caused it to eventually fail, yeah you can get rebuild kits and that for some, but often quicker and not much more expensive to get new one...

You're running a Poliauto, they are now known as Vialle and if you can find a new one below $800 i'll take 10 of them... Even a kit for it will cost you a small fortune!

Replace it with an OMVL R90E, you'll never have a problem again.

Mine was a Vialle. I fitted it and then took the car back to the gas fitter for him to connect the line as it had to be modified.

My gas fitter sold it to me. He was too busy to fit it.

Brand new Vialle convertors are around $350-380 depending on the model, unless you buy from Ford where the $800 is more the figure you will pay..

You've said this once before and i told you i'll take 10 of them if you can get them.
Ask for a price on a replacement Vialle to suit a Falcon.
People don't buy them because they are minimum twice the price of anything else.

I priced a Poliauto (Same as Vialle) 9 years ago and they were $550 back then, a kit for one was about $200, i ended up fitting a new BRC which cost me about $180 from memory and worked just as well as the Poli and was more reliable.

Now i stick with OMVL.
