just wondering whats the normal LPG fuel economy from an 3.9L EB wagon?

Currently I'm getting bout 26L/100K's full tank bout 65L lasts 250Km, longish city driving (average of bout 15Km a trip). Just driving quietly along, nothing over 2500 RPM maybe closer on 2000 RPM.

So does this sound right? if not how do I fix it?

Doesn't sound right, my EF Manual Wagon gets 450km to a 65 litre tank if I keep the rev's under 2500rpm..

wow ok so somethings definitely wrong with my system. Any ideas anyone? My cars specs are as follows.

EB 1
3.9 CFI
4sp Auto.
Wagon

At the moment I've got a leaking head gasket (leaking outside) but I know this isn't the problem cause the head gasket was fine when i bought the car.

From memory the gas system was installed bout 10 years ago.

Any help would be appreciated.

Not sure, anyone with a closer spec car? I'm guessing you should be getting around 350km to a tank.. Can you smell Gas? Have you had the Gas tuned?

Can smell a lil bit of gas i think not sure though and only when i stick my head under the bonnet. I've never had the gas tuned but I think I might give that a go next week maybe, have uni exams this week.

Any more suggestions would be greatly appreciated as well

Tighten up all the allen key bolts around the converter. That should stop it. If not get it checked out. There are some dodgy gasmen around that will say "Its an old car, what sort of mileage did you expect?" so be carefull.

Yeah, sounds like it, i needed to get it checked out anyway i think there's a slight coolant leak coming from it, where's a good place to go here in Adelaide to get it looked at, I live just east of the city.

Might be a good time to get it moved as well, want to do a mpfi conversion and the converters sitting right where the air box needs to go

What good advice.
Went out and did mine after reading this.
Got 1/4 turn from each!
And the system was only done 9 months ago.

tightened mine up don't smell gas but didn't really in the first place just noticed coolant beneath it all the time that seems to have worked for that.

still chewing through gas though, any ideas where to take it and how much a new converter will cost?
