hey guys my el fairmont today on lpg when the car started to cough, i had my foot down on a constant acceleration and every second or two the car would choke and it felt like no gas was getting to the engine so i assumed the injectors were clogged. But the petrol runs fine and when i pulled over and popped up the bonnet the gas converter/chamber (dnt no wat its called lol) was frozen it had ice all over it. i assume this is a gas leak of some sort as when i first got the gas installed they left a fitting loose where i fill the gas tank up and all around that was frozen too.
any one had this problem or got any ideas? |

It's either a gas leak causing it (you should be able to smell the leak!) or it's a coolant flow problem, not enough coolant flow thru converter = frozen converter. Cheers ToranaGuy

Cheers ToranaGuy plus 1^^ i say its a coolant flow issue.

the water hoses on both sides of the converter should be hot,you may have to bleed the air out of it.

well i could smell gas in the driving cabin, and i hope it is that coz its under warranty if its a gas related fault. i think it could be a gas leak as some of the hose was frozen too.
thanks for the reply guys |
