hi

instead of the ring in the intake is it possible to get lpg injectors hooked up to the cars original ecu and use a converter and ecu that suits a mixer ring to run the gas and use the cars factory ecu to run the lpg injectors.

is injectors better than the ring or the other way around can the intake of a older lpg set up be changed to get the power back to petrol and get more kms

set up below for older lpg mixer intake

__________Mixer Ring___________
*** ***
Throttle Air
body Box
***_____Normal Intake Hose________***

Nope.
The injected LPG needs its own ECU which piggy backs off the factory one and intercepts the factory injector pulses and modifys them to suitthe gas.
I have just installed an injected LPG system into my Maverick. While it is fairly simple to do there is more to it then what you are thinking.

Based on that fact my Mum is the best around!

what do you need to istall injected lpg

is a dual intake hose as in 2 side by side to get more air in with the mixer in one of them (silicone y adaptor to split into 2 run 2 intake hoses with a mixer in one and just a straight one in the other and another silicone y adaptor to split back into 1)

NO NO NO! Couldn't be more wrong!

It's already been mentioned what is required to run LPG injection, don't post misinformation such as this!

Cheers

You don't, unless you can find a bigger mixer ring. If you bypass the mixer ring the car will run really lean, which is really bad. The mixer ring setup works by the restriction, it creates a vacuum that draws the LPG into the intake, it's the most basic, cheapest & nastiest way to convert an engine to LPG.

If you want more power, junk that crap & get a better setup like, ie maybe an impco225, a gas research or an injected LPG kit.

Cheers

can you make the rstricted hole in the mixer bigger

and instead of having a mixer ring can people just plumb a hose directly into the intake manifold plenum if they originally had a ring

Not without stuffing up the mixer ring. You need to either find a larger mixer ring (rather hard to do) or fit something less restrictive like an impco225.

No you can't just plumb the hose into the intake, it won't mix the LPG with the air stream properly, it will have poor afr's & be lucky to run at all.

Cheers

I'll sell you this ford-lpg-hydrogen-hho-cng-conversions-f44/3-inch-s-s-intake-with-lpg-ring-mixer-t114065.html
For $250 plus postage. that is about what it cost me make it. Any bigger on the mixer ring and you have issues with part throttle low engine speed mixture controll.
