i'll be interested to know this too. i've been asking around if any converter can run boost (even if its only very small ammounts) just by fitting a balance line.

Yep possible with GRA converters and throttle bodies. You need to drill and tap, and screw in a fitting (about 3/8 from memory per converter was sufficient for my bosses supercharged HQ) that connects to manifold pressure, so that the converter sees manifold pressure, not atmospheric. Other than that, i think its all reasonably simple?

Both GRA and impco mixers (200/225/425) will work fine, the GRA mounts nicely onto XF injected intake manifold.

The impco mixers are far easier to tune and many more dyno shops will tune them, GRA mixers are hard to tune and its expensive to get the different metering rods, and even then a lathe may be needed to fine tune.

The GRA mixers come with a T/B in them and are easier to mount/package into most setups, the impco mixers are just that, a mixer only.

The impco VFF30 vacuum lockoff is far better than any elec lockoff.

Electric lockoffs can be modified slightly for more flow.

You need to boost refference the converter by putting a tapered fitting in front of the throttle body so that it picks up the incoming air/boost.
If you use a VFF30 you also need to plumb in to that.

GRA converters use different spring kits to impco and they are not really compatible with each other, although they will work if you fit a GRA converter to an impco mixer it will use excessive ammounts of gas.

One B2 converter is rated at 280hp continuos flow, the impco model E converter from memory it shares the same internals as the B2 but is rated slightly higher as its heat trasfer properties are better/ie its bigger and can boil off more gas.

One std s**t electric lockoff generally doesn't flow above 130rwkw.

Tank flow can sometimes be poor depending upon the weather and the mixture of butane/propane in the tank.

Tanks can be modified to flow more, by removing the lockoff from the outlet valve, but thats not something I'd call safe, although many do it.
With a modified siphon tube and removed lockoff and bigger feed line a single 80lt tank will give out 550rwhp of fuel, but it won't sustain that flow rate for long. Some people have pulled big HP with only single tanks, I'd love to know how they did it, or if the tank is modified.

The easiest legal way to acheive better fuel flow is to fit twin tanks if possible, twin lines, twin lockoffs, twin converters, etc.

Can be done with a complex convertor and ring (simple) mixer. The Landi Renzo SM+P is rated for over 300hp and is only $220 to buy new from the importer. This is my AU I have travelled about 36,000k's in. With no other mods (ecu, timing, etc...) it pulls 162rwkw and has heaps of torque.Image
