plugs, leads and tune
LPG is incredibly hard on ignition systems, they need to be in good order. And no just because it works on petrol doesn't mean it should work on LPG |

do you think that a head gasket could be the problem aswell? because i've heard they can cause the same issue...

try the cheaper things first. like it's been mentioned LPG is hard on ignition systems. take it from me. my eb is on LPG. when i bought it, it ran like s**t. put some LPG plugs in and and new leads. all sweet.
make sure you put lpg plugs in it

Buy the best leads you can afford and buy LPG-specific plugs with a gap of between 0.7-0.9mm. While you're at it, check the rest of your ignition - distributor etc.

I had topgun LPG leads but the boots didn't seals around the plugs properly, in wet weather the spark would track down the outside of the plug cause a missfire and common backfiring. I ended up fitting a set of MSD plug boots to them and replaced the terminals at the same time (topgun need to buy a better crimping tool). haven't had any issues since. I've never had good results with Bosch and LPG. |

nahh i definatly think its miss firing because of the head gasket.i did my road worthy today and the mechanic said i've got abit of an oil leak near the head.but im not losing any water.the oil leak is on the inlet side and there's abit of a water stain under neath the extractors side..

have you checked the timing?
Have you checked the coil with HEI test plug? Have you checked the button and the cap for wear Have you measured the lead resistance? Snow your asking yourself if its the head gasket? wild-el wrote: nahh i definatly think its miss firing because of the head gasket. You sound so sure here though?

So you've checked compression to know its bad?
They have checked compression to know its bad? You know its not the electronics how? Could be the LPG computer for all you know? Has it been diagnosed if its possible?
