Having had problems this week with the factory/dealer fitted gas on my el, i decided to to what a few of you guy on this forum have done before. which was source a tick ford gas ecu .after ringing the local ford dealer to make sure the ecu numbers i had would match the ones from ti performance site .after getting hold of one i made some more phone calls to find out more.I was put on to a guy who has been installing for metro ford for the last twenty years .
he informs me the that all ecu's used for gas from dealer side are tick ford and that the duel fuel maps are non existent IE ford lies,can any one back up the claim they they do indeed have duel maps he also stated that the fuel pump should cylce for 2 mins after start and again every twenty mins after that can any confirm

these are the ecu number i have
orginal out of car was 6dbd
new ecu is 6DGB

The ECU you are looking for is 6TGB or 6TGE. I have one of these in my car, and it does make a notable improvement in both economy and power.

You need to run the car on Petrol for 20Kays every week or so.
