Have any of you guys running a wet NOS system on a turbo I6 hooked it up before the turbo? According to what ive read the standard intake manifold struggles to get even distrubution to all cylinders when the Nos is injected just before the thottle body. The way i looked at it was that if it was hooked up in the intake between the air cleaner and turbo the turbo will break up the gas and fuel mix even further and send it on its way even to all cylinders. What do you think?
Also the system i have (ZEX) uses the nos spray to pull the fuel through the nozzle so do i set the fuel supply to the nozzle under full pressure from the fuel pump? or less pressure from the return?
Any help would be great as it has no instructions with the kit.

from the little knowlage i have

you do not want the nos that far away
as it is taking away volume needed for the air

i would still inject the nos before or just after the TB

and what do u mean the nozle pulls fuel through it?

I just read it on the ZEX website that it uses the fuel vacume going past the nozzel to ajust the ratio of nos to fuel?

OK, what happens is this, and it seems you actually have a dry kit. From what you have stated is, the NOS is injected before the TB, now does this nozzle have 1 or 2 lines running to it. If 1 then it is dry. and the NOS will provide additional pressure to the FPR and thus adjust the pressure at the rail for the stock onjectors.
If it is a wet system, then there will be 2 lines running to the nozzle and the factory rail pressure will be more than adequate to supply the pressure to the nozzle
Hope that helps
Brett

Thanks Brett and Disco, Yeah she is a wet system, Brett: do you think the nitros is ok to inject before the turbo? im just worryed about the fuel/nos distrubution? BTW im running the EL manifold (on a eb).

Shouldnt be a prob, but i would be sending it in after the turbo, but thats just me. What this will do is introduce a bigger bang and get you on boost earlier

if you have a backfire which can be common with nitrous, the additional volume of mixture will blow stuff up much worse, and you can't inject pre turbo if you have an intercooler.

Oh sorry should have mentioned no intercooler. yeah im worried about a backfire as its a manual so i will be backing off the throttle to chamge gear and am worried about unburnt nitrous expoldeing in the cylinder.

with no cooler, are you just running the pipe straight over the rocker cover to the TB? how long the turbo to TB pipe?

when we do the single fogger setup on a turbo car we mount the fogger about 40cm befor the TB. if you pipe is shorter mount it as close to the turbo as you can in that turbo to TB pipe.

DO NOT mount it befor the turbo

For a wet system, there is the possibility that it could ignite if injected before the turbo, So definitely after the Turbo.
Cheers

Cheers thanks guys, its all hooked up now. the turbo does pipe straight to the throttle body (pipe is about 30cm long) and ive mounted it about half way. should work pretty well i think. the reason for no intercooler is im running the C20 kit which uses a bulb to cool the intake (runs on carbon dioxide) that along with the nitrous should keep the intake charge really 8-)
