Hi guys. I've got an XF with an LPG system, but last owner took the converter out due to it waxing up. They also took all hoses and half the loom for the LPG out.
Wondering if I van tap some knowledge about it. A ) - Does the converter use vacuum from above or below the carby's butterfly's ?? B ) - an someone supply a mud map of the wiring I'll include a pic of what the wiring 'could' be from what's left of the wiring in the car. Vacuum hose is not in pic as I am not sure if it fgoes above or bellow the carby butterfly's (different people tell me different things.) PROBLEM SOLVED --
All good, blokes at the LPG place gave me the wrong specs for the unit. The solenoid I have as the primer (in above picture) is actually a power on solenoid. so I was only getting gas while I primed it. A) - If it uses a primer it is a negative pressure converter. (needs vacuum for any gas flow) B) - If it has no primer it is (usually) a positive pressure converter. (full time gas flow from power on, varied by vacuum) You do not have the required permissions to view the files attached to this post. |
